Melina Kanakaredes Melina Kanakaredes, an American actor is best known for her roles as The Resident's Dr. Sydney Hansen in the NBC drama Providence and as Dr. Lane Hunter in The Resident. She also received acclaim for her breakthrough television debut role as Eleni Andros Cooper on the CBS soap drama Guiding Light. The notable films she has appeared in includes 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Snitch. According sources, she's working with Vlas and Charley Paralapanides who produced Immortals for an adaptation of Elisabeth Kubler Ross' autobiography The Wheel of Life. Also, she is working on a new show called Gods & Heroes.
